Quality Supervisor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Supervisor to oversee our quality processes and production of our unique and nutritional products. As we continue to grow, this role will play a crucial part in maintaining our commitment to quality and food safety. The Quality Supervisor will report to the Quality Manager and be responsible for implementing and maintaining our quality systems, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and adhering to company, local, state, and federal policies. Deviations, audits, walk arounds, and manage 5 direct reports or Tech level roles (handle the work load, scheduling for pretty tenured Techs). Will also help with coverage as needed on different shifts or on-call, but can compensate with some WFH for that too.

Essential Functions

• Leadership and Training: Lead, direct, and train employees to achieve high-quality standards and ensure food safety. Foster an engaged and team-oriented workforce to drive continuous improvement.
• Quality Systems and Compliance: Collaborate closely with the Quality Control Manager to oversee the Quality Control Technicians. Implement and maintain quality systems, including SPC, Food Safety Plan, and SQF programs. Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory and SQF standards. Manage internal, external, and regulatory inspections.
• Operational Excellence: Drive facility development by leading continuous improvement and root cause analysis teams. Provide leadership on quality and food safety within the manufacturing facility. Oversee key quality and operational programs with guidance from department management.
• Reporting and Documentation: Participate in audit preparation activities, accompany auditors, and complete necessary reporting or corrective actions. Identify and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department. Manage the facility document control program and sanitation programs as needed.
• Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements are fully implemented. Manage laboratory supplies, equipment, and calibration programs.

Qualifications Required

• 3-5 years of Food Manufacturing with experience in food safety, testing, compliance (FDA, GMP, SQF, HACCP, PCQI, FQSA, etc)
• 1-3 years of Management
• Prefer a Bachelor degree in a life science
