Lab Technician

Job description

Duties:

- Perform laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses accurately and efficiently

- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning

- Prepare seed samples for testing following standard operating procedure (weighing, grinding, processing)

- Record and interpret data accurately

- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

-seed sample preparation, maintaining equipment and lab inventory; maintaining stocks of buffers, media and other reagents

-word/excel data entry and LIMS database management; and running routine greenhouse or laboratory tests

-seasonal opportunity with possibility to extend

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and practices

- B.S in Biology, Botany or related field required

- Experience working in laboratory environment

- Experience working with plants/seeds preferred

-Organized, attention to detail, good time management, team player
