Reed Accountancy are delighted to working with a fantastic organisation based in the heart of Aberdeen on their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all transactional areas of the Finance function, including budgeting and monthly reporting to the General Manager. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in finance.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Financial control of accounts, including budgeting and preparing monthly reports
  • Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Managing timesheets and preparing payroll information for our Accountant.
  • Conducting annual archiving of all financial documentation after the year-end is completed.
  • Reviewing and controlling all company utilities to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Handling correspondence, complaints, and queries in a professional manner.
  • Liaising with staff, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years’ experience in a similar Finance Role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
