Prospero Teaching is seeking to appoint a compassionate, nurturing, and positive tutor to support a young refugee student in the Amesbury (SP4) area. Tuition is required 5 hours per week and ideally sessions would be split into 1/2 hour sessions across the week.
As a Tutor, you will:
- Focus on: Communication development, emotional support, and basic educational engagement
- Assist the young person with communication
- Be positive, engaging and enthusiastic
- Create engaging tasks which will captivate learners
- Plan tasks/learning around individual learning needs
About you:
- Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with communication needs
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Background in education, speech and language support, or alternative provision

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
- Experience working with learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)/ SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
