Location - Ashford, Kent

Salary - up to £33,000 per annum OTE

Hours - 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Thursday, Friday 8 am - 4 pm

Are you experienced in providing detailed quotes from inquiries, or do you have transferable experience?

Our client, is a leading designer and manufacturer supplying their trademarked products, helping to protect industrial and commercial properties throughout the UK.

Main Responsibilities:

• Employ a structured and systematic approach to extract information from customer inquiries, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of required products and solutions for accurate quoting in line with project specifications
• Timely provision of accurate quotes, meeting technical and pricing requirements specified in customer requests, while ensuring suitability for intended use
• Proactively address any alterations or amendments necessary to align with project needs, promptly documenting and communicating changes for customer review
• Record all quoting activities and related data in the Internal Management System (IMS) to maintain a comprehensive record of the inquiry-to-order process
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients in assigned sectors to gauge potential orders and delivery timelines, supporting financial projections
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Team to identify optimal products for specific applications, leveraging their expertise
• Participate in thorough product and system training to grasp essential features and Unique Selling Points (USPs) crucial for effective job performance
• Adhere to defined sales budgets and strive to achieve specified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within assigned sectors and departments
• Ensure timely transmission of contractual terms and conditions to the Installation and Contracts Manager for contract processing
• Handle and escalate client concerns as needed, maintaining comprehensive records and escalating issues appropriately
• Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels, both internally and externally

Skills and Experience

• Must have at least 2 years of previous experience in an Estimator role
• The ability to read and understand technical drawing is essential
• Must be a proactive individual; with a `winning` mentality
• Good organisational skills are required for this role
• Able to read architectural drawings
• Worked in a technical solution environment
• A natural flair for accurate detailed estimating is required for this role
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to all levels within the company
• Self-motivated
• Team player
