Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of roofing and cladding projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for roofing and cladding projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets.
- Materials Selection:
- Provide unbiased advice on material options based on performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
- Project Programming:
- Develop project schedules and timelines.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed.
- Problem Solving:
- Identify and address challenges related to roofing and cladding installations.
- Collaborate with the technical team to find innovative solutions.
- Contract Administration:
- Review and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Handle variations and change orders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in roofing and cladding projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost estimating tools).
