We’re hiring for a Solderer to join a well-established electronics manufacturer based in Dukinfield, Tameside. The company design and manufacture electrical products for the life sciences, aviation and automotive industries, providing expert solutions and the highest levels of product knowledge.

The job role includes helping to assemble many different products so you’ll need to be competent at soldering and working from written instructions / diagrams.

What’s on offer?

  • £11.50 - £13.00 per hour
  • Mon to Thurs 8:00 am – 4:30 pm / Fri 8:30 am – 2:00 pm
  • Overtime available

What will you be doing as a PCB Assembler?

  • Placing electronic components onto PCBs (printed circuit boards) and then to either hand solder them into place, or to use an automated selective solder machine
  • Carrying out inspections and quality of products to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Ensuring all products meet both the requirements of current build lines and comply to the company wide quality standards
  • Carrying out basic mechanical tasks using small tools and other general assembly tasks
  • Conducting any general assembly tasks including the use of hand tools, fixtures and fitting

What do you need?

  • Electrical / PCB assembly experience
  • Strong soldering skills and the ability to do dexterous work
  • Understanding of components idents and markings are essential
  • Reliability and a flexible working attitude
  • Good attention to detail

What's nice to have?

  • Rework / test / mechanical build experience
