Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

The School and Role  

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to start a 4 day a week contract at a Primary School in Barnsley. The role will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities or whole classes and monitoring pupils to assess, record and report on achievement, progress and development.  

The school is a vibrant and diverse primary school located in the centre of Barnsleyproviding education for children aged 3 to 11 years. The school nurture a caring community with a warm and friendly ethos. The school providehigh standards of learning and ensure all children learn to the best of their ability.  

Requirements  

The desired Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will have;  

• Have an excellent understanding of how children learn  

• Motivate and inspire children  

• Have a positive working attitude and committed to continually improve teaching practice  

• Be organised, punctual and adaptable  

• Be committed to inclusion and equity
