Fitter / Welder

My client in the Tankersley area of Sheffield are looking for a Welder / Fitter.

Requirements of the Role:

Be Proficient in both Mig and Arc welding techniques and the use of oxy propane flame cutting equipment

Able to both fabricate and execute repairs to machinery, plant and equipment

Have experience welding wear parts to construction / processing machinery

- Able to work as both part of a team and also individually as required

Work in both a workshop and metal processing yard environments

Be able to safely use hand and power tools safely and with awareness of surroundings

To evaluate finished fix or job to ensure the quality is to company standard

Carry out daily maintenance and inspection checks of equipment to ensure it safe

The successful candidate will:

Have experience in welding and fabricating

Be flexible with a can do attitude

Willing to work in all environments

A good knowledge of health and safety

Salary negotiable depending on experience

20 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday. Workplace pension.
