Job Title: Mechanical Inspector

Location: Basildon

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday, 06:45 am to 15:45 pm;
• Friday, 06:45 am to 11:45 am

Salary: £12.30 per hour

Requirements:

• Ability to meticulously inspect gearboxes for swarf and other imperfections.
• Familiarity with gearbox components and inspection methods preferred.
• Capable of standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of gearbox components according to established procedures.
• Utilize a magnet to detect and remove swarf from gearbox holes.
• Document any findings or discrepancies accurately and promptly.
• Communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors or quality control personnel.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Meet production targets and quality standards while ensuring efficiency.
• Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality and precision in all aspects of the inspection process.
