Graduate Acoustic Consultant

My client is an independent consultancy that specializes in architectural and environmental acoustics. The role as a Graduate Acoustic Consultant provides an opportunity to work on a variety of projects of different scales in rural, urban, and industrial environments across the United Kingdom.

Requirements

  • BSc or an MSc in Acoustics or related fields such as Mathematics, Physics, or Music Technology
  • A good knowledge of British standards including BS4142, BS5228, BS8233, and BS16283
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Duties

  • A good knowledge of British standards including BS4142, BS5228, BS8233, and BS16283.
  • Conduct noise measurement assessments, sound insulation testing, and 3D noise modeling. Once completed, prepare final reports based on the results obtained.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, engineers, and construction site managers throughout the entire project lifecycle. Ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Use acoustical software including ODEON, INSUL Soundplan, and CaDnaA
