Graduate Acoustic Consultant

Our client is an independent consultancy specialising in architectural and environmental acoustics. The consultancy offers a diverse range of projects throughout the United Kingdom, providing exposure to varying scales and complexities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's (BSc) or Master's (MSc) degree in Acoustics or related disciplines
  • Effective communication skills and proven ability in both written and verbal formats.
  • Membership in the Institute of Acoustics (IOA)
  • Proficiency in British standards, including BS4142, BS5228, BS8233, and BS16283
  • A valid UK driving license and personal vehicle.

Duties

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, engineers, and construction site managers throughout the entire project lifecycle. Ensure seamless communication among all stakeholders.
  • Measure noise levels thoroughly, undertake test sound insulation, and use 3D noise modelling techniques to generate conclusive reports based on the collected data.
  • Employ technical acoustical software such as ODEON, INSUL, Soundplan, and CaDnaA to enhance the analysis and decision-making processes.
