5:00am to 1:00pm & 6:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to Friday

From 21st May Onwards - Temp to Perm

£42,000 per annum

Join client’s team at their Bedford distribution centre and take on the role of Shift Manager, where you'll play a key role in driving success and fostering a culture of excellence!

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and coordinating all warehouse activities during assigned shifts, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Leading and motivating a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational targets and KPIs.
• Conducting regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and address any concerns.
• Monitoring and optimising workflow to ensure efficient use of resources and timely order fulfilment.
• Implementing and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborating with other managers to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
• Handling escalated issues and resolving conflicts as they arise.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.
