MIG Welder

We are currently hiring Welders for an industry leader in Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture of offsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00 (44 hours)


Key Responsibilities

  • To operate MIG welding equipment to weld a range of pipe configurations utilising various methods of welding.
  • To read/interpret drawings.
  • Use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment
  • Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment 
  • To undertake training in line with company standards 
  • Always maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in Fabrication and welding with general and pipe welding
  • Previous experience in welding preparation and fit up
  • Experience in reading, interpreting, and working to Welding procedures  
  • Competent using measurement instruments, Fillet gauges etc

 Desirable:

  • Heavy or structural Fabrication experience 
  • Welding qualifications in MMA, MAG or TIG
  • Abrasive wheel training
