Robot Welder
We are currently hiring Robot Welder Operators for an industry leader in the Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture of offsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30 Friday 07:00-13:30 (40 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Read and fully understand the drawings for each project.
- Welding a range of pipe arrangements from shop drawings, primarily using GMAW techniques. Â
- Weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel ranging from 125mm – 500mm) from shop drawings.
- Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and Welding is carried out to the correct standard.
- To undertake training in line with company standards.
- Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
- Ensuring allocated work progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with workload and specifications.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience Programming, Setting and Operating a Robot Welding Machine in an Engineering Environment.
- To have an in-depth knowledge of Weld Defects.
- Proven experience efficiently troubleshooting and resolving problems that may arise during the welding process.
- The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
- Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders etc.
- Confident in understanding shopfloor drawingsÂ
 Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Welder, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG.
- Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment  Â
