TIG Welder
We are currently hiring Welders for an industry leader in the Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture of offsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30 Friday 07:00-13:30 (40 hours)
Job Summary
As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding a range of pipe configurations while applying various methods to produce high-quality welds in TIG, MMA, or MAG.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
- TIG Weld pipe sets for various diameters, typically carbon steel and stainless steel (65mm - 500mm).
- Follow direction from the Site Supervisor on work requirements.
- Adhere to company welding procedures and ensure proper pipe preparation and fit-up.
- Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues while ensuring high productivity.
- Undertake training in accordance with company standards and complete cross-training in various welding activities.
- Follow company Health & Safety processes.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous experience in fabrication and welding, particularly in pipe welding.
- Experience in welding preparation and fit-up.
- Proficiency in TIG, MMA, or MAG welding processes to a high standard.
- Able to read and interpret welding procedures.
- Competent in using measurement instruments like fillet gauges.
Desirable:
- Heavy or structural Fabrication experience
- Welding qualifications in MMA, MAG or TIG
- Abrasive wheel training
