We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter Leader join a manufacturer of sustainable equipment at their new start-of-the-art facility in Heywood.
This role not only demands technical proficiency but also offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, travel to client sites for installations, and uphold this teams commitment to delivering top-notch products.
What’s on offer?
- Up to £33,000 per anum
- Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Early finish on Fridays
- 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
- Annual bonus (based on company performance)

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?
- Utilising static machinery, battery-powered tools including drills, and general hand tools
- Informing the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
- Successfully completing projects and following instructions from your manager
- Collaborating with other teams to minimise delays and meet high standards
- Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company
- Ensuring all test certificates and serial number logs are completed and kept up to date
- Occasionally travelling to work at client sites across the UK to fit and install the products
- Liaising with tradesmen and contractors at client sites as required
What do you need?
- Previous mechanical assembly experience
- City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- A full in date UK driving license
- The ability to read and follow manufacturing drawings
