This automotive manufacturing company near Colchester are offering a starting salary of circa 14ph, with overtime available at increased rates of pay! Core hours are 07:30-16:30 Monday - Friday.
They are looking for an assembler who will ideally have experience working within a fitting environment such as shop fitting or coach-building. You will be working with a range of materials such as wood, plastic and metal, to fabricate and convert their products. Anyone with basic welding skills would be of interest too.
You will need to be experienced in the duties below to be considered for this role, as well as having your own transport.
Fitter duties include:
- Fitting parts using hand and power tools
- Aluminium welding
- Assembling parts and working from drawings
- Fabricating various forms of metal
- Woodworking including basic DIY / carpentry
- Follow company health & safety policies as and when required
As previously stated, this is a multi-skilled role so you will not stuck in one place all day. It will involve various forms of fabrications such as upholstery, carpentry, basic electrics etc.
This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month probation period.
