Kinetic are recruiting for a Stock Controller for a Birmingham based client. Our client is a global, process driven manufacturing company, and a world leader in their Industry.

As a Stock Controller you will be required to operate and monitor the stock preparation process equipment in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective way. In order to be successful in this position, you must be able to work 12 hour continental shifts, including days, nights and weekends.

The role:
*Monitor, operate and control the whole stock preparation process to maximum efficiency
*Considering raw material usage and unnecessary process operations
*Operating machinery
*Monitoring, replenishing and changing production consumables when required in a safe and efficient manner
*Using process control computers to monitor and problem solve
*Liaising with the production team in respect of production plan
*Ensuring that shift report sheets are completed and they accurately reflect the conditions of the stock preparation process
*Using process knowledge and skill in the event of machine failure to ensure delivery of raw material continues in a safe and controlled manner
*Assisting maintenance staff during maintenance breakdowns or blockages
*Liaising with the production team colleagues to meet the required quality specifications for the production plan
*Reporting and liaising with the production team leader in respect of operation, problems, efficiencies, and safety
*Maintaining good housekeeping
*Following and adhering to all health and safety procedures

Requirements:
* Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment
* Experience in stock preparation / control
* Experience with process controls
* 5 GCSE's or equivalent
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety
* Ability to work under pressure
* Works well within a team and individually
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
* Flexible - able to work nights and weekends
