Business Development Manager - Renewable Energy

Basic Salary - c£45,000 to £55,000 OTE c£120k uncapped plus car allowance and benefits.

Location - Flexible. Areas considered would be Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Stoke, Derby, Bradford, Doncaster, Bristol, London, Reading, Luton, Oxford, Nottingham, Leicester, Cheltenham, York and Hull to name a few.

The Opportunity

This is a division of a £300m turnover business that employees over 2500 employees in the renewable solutions space. They provide turnkey solutions comprising of Solar PV, Lighting, Heating Decarbonisation, EV charging solutions, Funding Solutions and Energy Storage and Consultancy to the private and public sector.

The Role

This is an exciting solution sales role, whereby you will identify suitable commercial and industrial projects, whereby the client is on a journey to reduce their carbon emissions whilst also maximising financial return without operational disruption. The region is quite flexible and within this you will be required to research and identify suitable prospects that have a suitably sized individual site or multi-site operation that could benefit form the solutions on offer.

You will be given a portfolio of existing projects to engage with, but most of the role is focused on your business development efforts and a good salary and high OTE is on offer as a reward for this approach.

The Candidate

We are seeking a proven business developer from within the energy services sector aligned to renewable energy solutions, such as lighting, solar energy solutions, EV charging, energy storage, heating solutions, building controls and other smart building solutions. You will be comfortable with a complex sales solution and be able to quickly identify a prospects suitability for such solutions. You will have knowledge of taking a customer through the journey of investment, pay back periods and the route to low carbon emissions.

We are looking for a target orientated, driven and passionate business developer that is confident in their ability to build a pipeline of projects and execute on these.
