We are seeking a Packaging Designer who NEEDS TO HAVE corrugated cardboard experience and designing with Impact software.

Join a family-run packaging manufacturing firm with more than 75 years experience, spanning three generations!

Our clients company was originally founded to reuse corrugated boxes after WW2 staying focused on encouraging and providing greener alternatives, using renewable and sustainable sources, as well as recycled materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define packaging solutions from the interpretation of a customer project brief or specification. Be able to make changes or adjustments to all projects upon receiving feedback.
  • Design and preparation of structural designs, artwork and samples. Maintain and develop a thorough use and understanding of all necessary software including CAD and Adobe. Undertake training on new and existing software and equipment where necessary.
  • Ensure quality is kept to a high standard by regular checking of work in progress and reporting any issues immediately.
  • Offer technical advice, relating to design or artwork solutions, to sales staff to help ensure they can offer excellent customer service and are able to provide innovative solutions to customer requirements.
  • Be able to work to deadlines and work under pressure, multi-tasking to adjust priorities to ensure customer demands are satisfied.
  • Ensure knowledge of industry standards, developments, and new products are kept up to date.
  • Maintain tidiness of both virtual and physical work areas.
  • Ensure accurate and systematic storage of files and accurate completion of all relevant documentation at each stage in the design process.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in corrugated packaging design
  • Confident with design software - Impact or similar
  • Able to work to deadlines
