The Company

The Client, a specialist Transport Planning Landscape Consultancy comprehensive, is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Transport Planner to join the team. They are an independent consultancy who comprise of highly experienced transport planning specialists with a wealth of knowledge gained from working across both the public and private sectors.

They are involved in projects throughout the UK and advises our clients, from institutional investors and global companies to local scheme promotors, on projects from strategic investments to smaller scale developments within our community.

The Position of a Transport Planner

The successful candidate will support the senior members of staff and be meaningfully engaged in all streams of work, and work on a variety of projects. Typical duties will include developing solutions to transportation problems such as congestion, assessing the environmental impact of new infrastructure plans, designing transport routes and much more.

Essential Requirements for a Transport Planner

  • A degree in either Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Town Planning, Geography, or maths.
  • Previous consultancy experience.
  • Knowledge of transport methods, costs, and benefits.
  • Teamwork and communications skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
