Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Support Assistant required in Bradford, BD15.

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of school-based experience, preferably as a Teaching Assistant with a focus on SEND.

About the School: They are a vibrant and inclusive primary school in based in Bradford BD15, committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for their students. The school are a dedicated team seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join them as a SEND Support Assistant to work across school and alongside the SEND team.

Role Overview: As a SEND Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse needs of our students, contributing to their academic and personal development. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of relevant school-based experience and a genuine passion for working with pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of school-based experience, preferably as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

This role is based in Bradford, BD15, and is a full-time position via the Accelerate Teaching Agency.
