Sharper Consulting Services is working on behalf of our client in Cumbria in their search for an Interim Licencing Manager. The team's remit is: Taxi/Private Hire licencing, Entertainment licencing, Alcohol licencing and street trading.
Duties
- You will be responsible for the day to day management of the team including monitoring performance standards, implementing and monitoring a positive performance culture, and complying with policies and procedures that enable delivery of agreed targets and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with licence conditions including liaising with other departments of the Council and external agencies and carrying out any necessary enforcement action within the powers of the Council.
- Prepare and present reports to the Licensing & Regulatory Committees, to attend proceedings in the Magistrates and Crown Courts and any other relevant court or tribunal.
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience working in the licencing team in a local authority setting and understanding Local Authority licensing functions
- Understanding of Court proceedings and investigations.
- Experiences undertaking court procedures and PACE/CPIA requirements.
