Smyth & Co. is proud to present this esteemed Italian restaurant located in the heart of London that is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead its culinary team. Known for its authentic Italian cuisine and vibrant atmosphere, this is a beloved dining destination in the city.

About the Role:As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. With a focus on Italian cuisine, you will lead a team of passionate chefs in creating delicious dishes that delight our guests' palates. Your leadership, creativity, and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining this restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, including hiring, training, and scheduling staff.
  • Develop and execute creative and seasonal menus inspired by Italian cuisine.
  • Ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to meet demand while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving food quality, service, and profitability.
  • Oversee special events and catering operations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant, preferably with a focus on Italian cuisine.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of Italian ingredients, cooking techniques, and culinary traditions.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and a commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
