Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our welcoming school in Bristol.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping young people overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve success in their learning.

The Role

In this position, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of learning needs, including one-to-one assistance and small group work.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt learning activities, ensuring every pupil can access the curriculum.
  • Offer encouragement, structure, and guidance to help children develop both academically and socially.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of engaging lessons and learning activities.
  • Implement learning strategies and support plans to meet individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interaction.
  • Offer emotional and pastoral support where needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience working with children is an advantage but not essential.
  • Patient, understanding, and adaptable approach.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
