Area Sales Manager

This is a great opportunity for a talented salesperson to join phs Wastekit who are one of the leading suppliers of balers and compactors in the UK.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a field-based sales role, developing a sales strategy to acquire new business across the industry. This is a high volume, fast paced, targeted role so you must enjoy working effectively and efficiently in this type of environment. You will have a New Business target to hit every period so your drive to achieve this should be unwavering. You will also be required to renew, upgrade, and manage customers’ accounts to ensure that we deliver a best-in-class service. You will have an outgoing personality and be self-motivated, with the ability to bring positive energy and focus to your team and colleagues across the business.
A day in the life of an Area Sales Manager at phs Wastekit will involve:
phs Wastekit is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of balers and compactors, providing businesses with a whole service approach to reduce the cost of their waste.
Part of the phs Group, phs Wastekit offers a nationwide service. As well as supplying high quality baler and compactor machines, phs Wastekit offers servicing, maintenance, and waste removal services right across the UK, as well as partnerships with recycling companies to support customers.
A compactor, which reduces the volume of waste produced by a business by compacting it into space-saving bundles, decreases the cost of collecting and processing waste, which is measured by volume and number of collections.
Balers, which compact recycled waste such as cardboard or plastic into bales, reduce the storage space needed for waste and can offer an additional revenue stream as the bales can be sold to recycling companies for reuse or resale.
phs Wastekit offers a free Waste Saving Audit and free trial of any machine to businesses to identify the savings that could be made.

A day in the life of an Area Sales Manager at phs Wastekit will involve:
- Hunting for new customers through own lead generation and cold calling
- Conducting customer appointments
- Negotiating and closing deals with our diverse customer base
- Managing existing customer accounts
- Communicating with internal business colleagues
- Execute our sales strategy that result in exceptional customer experience.
- A talent and successful track record of securing New Business out in the field.
- Experience in selling multiple products and services across serval sectors.
- Tenacity, drive, self-motivation, and competitive nature
- Bias for action, independent and confident
- Experience in a waste, recycling, or similar industry (desirable)
- Experience using CRM (Salesforce) and a good level of IT proficiency
- Base salary of £30,000.00 and OTE of £56,000
- Uncapped commission
- Company car or car allowance
- Phone, laptop, and kit to work effectively from home and on the road
