We are seeking a passionate and talented Junior Sous Chef to join the dynamic culinary team at a prestigious independent school in Buckingham. This is a rare opportunity to work in a multi-outlet kitchen that delivers a diverse and exciting food offering from high-end fine dining to rustic hog roasts, BBQs, and fresh, seasonal menus for pupils and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple food outlets

  • Deliver outstanding food for school dining, events, hospitality, and themed functions

  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards are maintained

  • Assist with menu development, food prep, and service across varied styles (fine dining, BBQs, hog roasts, etc.)

  • Maintain excellent hygiene, health, and safety standards in accordance with school policies

  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement

About You:
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a high-volume or multi-outlet kitchen

  • Confident across a range of cooking styles fine dining, large-scale events, and casual service

  • Enthusiastic, organised, and calm under pressure

  • Passion for fresh, seasonal food and a genuine interest in developing your career

  • Strong team player with a proactive, can-do attitude

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene (minimum); Level 3 desirable
