- Salary: Circa £45,000 DOE
- Shift pattern: 12-hour shifts - 2 days/2 nights – 5 days off, 2 days/ 3 nights - 4 days off)
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production equipment to ensure effective and safe operation, minimising equipment downtime. This position requires a combination of technical skills and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Day-to-day of the role:- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, focusing on electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Carry out repairs of production, processing, and utility-related equipment.
- Support the installation of new equipment and ensure all repairs are well-documented.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
- Complete all maintenance paperwork neatly and accurately.
- Participate in the BOPEX (continuous improvement) program.
- Comply with all procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Immediately stop and report unsafe operations, adhering to mandatory PPE guidelines.
- Offer flexibility in working hours to meet business needs, including on-call duties outside regular hours.
- High school diploma with a Technical Qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong electrical knowledge and skills.
- Awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety requirements.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Experience in repair and maintenance of machinery within a food or drink manufacturing environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
