About us: Academics are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated team at a lovely Primary School located in Caerphilly. We specialise in finding long-term, permanent and short-term roles for Teachers and Teaching Assistants across Caerphilly. The role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: A Primary School in Caerphilly

Pay: Starting at £84 per day

The responsibilities as an integral part of our team of LSA's include:

  • Providing support to students in their academic and personal development
  • Assisting with day-to-day classroom activities under the guidance of teachers
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborating with fellow staff members to ensure cohesion within the classroom environment
  • To keep up to date with the relevant policy and legislation
  • To communicate effectively with staff, parents and pupils.

Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Teaching Assistant is desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ALN/SEN and how to support individuals with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passionate about supporting the development of children
