RB Social Care are looking for permanent male Support Workers in the Waterbeach area and surrounds, supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated needs, including sometimes behaviours that can challenge.

THIS IS A GREAT JOB, WORKING FOR A FANTASTIC PROVIDER.

It is an enormously rewarding job - lots of fun but hard work too. No two days are the same, and there can be challenges to be met and overcome, but it can also be fun and, more importantly, you will be making a real and positive difference to someone’s life each and every day.

As a Support Worker you will provide support and care to individuals with a learning disability, mental health needs and/or a physical disability. You will support residents to live the lives that they want and to be part of the local community.

You will be an important and valued part of the team, providing excellent standards of support and care, working on a 1-to-1 basis with residents, helping them with all aspects of independent living and assisting with personal care.

Typical Support Worker duties might include: -

  • Assisting clients with getting washed and dressed, preparing meals, prompting and assistance with taking medication
  • Light household tasks
  • Offering companionship and helping build clients confidence and independence

Applicants MUST have: -
  • a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (not only to get to and from the service, but also for days out)
  • flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, alternate weekends, some bank holidays and sleep-ins

Whilst we want applications from people who have previous experience of working in a similar environment, full training will be provided. The most important element for applicants is that they should be caring, compassionate & empathetic.

Whether you are an experienced Support Worker or fancy a change in career and believe you have the empathy for this exciting and rewarding career, we want to hear from you.
