You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the facilities, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service and organisation.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Carry out administrative duties such as answering and making phone calls (i.e. ordering equipment or speaking to IT support)
  • Maintain and order stock when required.
  • Help with renovations to support the maintenance operatives, including room moves and building furniture.
  • Take internal calls and organise repairs or the maintenance of reported issue. For example, you may need to order a new printer, or call a specialist in to fix it.
  • Be responsible for managing the access to the building such as issuing access keys or giving access to the swipe system or any other security systems the business may have.
  • Liaising with contractors for maintenance of the facilities of the building such as the lighting, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, heating, air conditioning, hygiene and waste disposal. Any building requirements as needed.
  • You may also have to carry out a risk assessment on these facilities and carry out repairs if they are not up to standard (full training will be given).
  • Renovations and development of the business main site and sites elsewhere.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • A full driving licence is essential and you must be 25 or over due to insurance.
  • You will need previous experience in a Caretaker / Handy Person role.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks.
  • The ability to work on your own, and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
