Maintenance Manager
CELSA – Cardiff
£41,000 - £48,000 plus £3,532 and 5 % bonus
You will plan & manage, not just react and fix!
You will be responsible for maintaining scrap handling machinery from shredders and shears to machine handlers and excavators. You will be part of the Scrap Purchasing team and the key point of contact for any Engineering related issues for our scrap yards across the UK. You will be travelling to the different yards to maintain machinery and create preventative maintenance plans for contractors to work from.
Your proactive approach will make it easy to challenge contractors because you have the oversight of the whole plant. You’ll have previous experience in a hands-on Engineering role and have a good insight of hydraulics. Ideally your background is in the heavy industry. You could be somebody that has either completed an apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical Engineering, what’s really important to us is that you have hands-on experience.
You need a minimum of NVQ L3 in Mechanical Engineering to be considered for the role.
