Role Overview

You will be responsible for the credit management process, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, minimising credit risk, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients. The ideal candidate should be proficient in guiding teams, as well as the ability to immerse themselves in the details by being actively involved, with a hands-on approach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any credit-related queries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and review credit limits, terms, and payment arrangements, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence and continual improvement of the credit control processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their growth and development.
  • To support the team to ensure that all tasks are completed within agreed time frames and to the highest standard.
  • To deliver excellent service to customers by understanding their needs, providing recommendations with integrity, and delivering first rate solutions.

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience in credit management, ideally within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary in line with skills & attributes
  • Company Pension Scheme - Employer contribution up to 10% (Employee 5%)
  • Monday-Friday (40-hour week), Office based with some Flexible working.
  • Annual leave 25 days plus Bank Holidays
