Custom Clerk

Customs Clerk - Medway - Up to 33k

The Customs Clerk for this Kent based company will be required to liaise closely with their operations team to ensure all relevant customs documents have been generated and I.T systems (both internal and external) are updated in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will have good/strong knowledge of customs and Ocean freight forwarding - a min of 1+ years' experience carrying out Import Customs. You will be arranging and completing all associated paperwork for import and export clearances.

Full time - Monday to Friday - 8:30AM - 17:30PM

Responsibilities

• Review supporting documents provided in relation to the required clearance to ensure Customs clearances are compliant in accordance with Customs and company regulation.
• Prepare and process import, export and transit customs entries according to Customs regulations, laws, or procedures and monitoring pending clearances.
• Calculate customs taxes owed on shipments
• Communicate with customers on Customs enquiries.
• Interface with HMRC regarding compliance issues
• Creation of Customer Accounts
