Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant based between Chelmsford & Braintree on a permanent basis.

The successful will be responsible for the day-to-day running of accounts for a small business.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Monitoring cashflow

· Bank postings & reconciliations

· Customer & supplier account reconciliation

· Preparation, recording & reviewing of monthly accounts including currency revaluations, prepayments, accruals, journals & closing the month in Sage

· VAT returns

· Credit control

· Processing monthly payroll and submission to HMRC & pension provider

· Sending customer invoices & statements

· Processing & allocating customer payments

· Answering customer queries by phone & email

· Producing any customs documentation needed

· Monitoring cost prices for all goods and services

· Liasing with suppliers and dealing with any queries by phone & email

· Processing Supplier payments

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:

· Qualified to at least AAT Level 2

· Excellent attention to detail

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts environment

· Flexible approach towards work

· Ability to work as part of a team

· Must be familiar with use of SAGE 50 & MS office

· Ideally have own transport due to company location

Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 and this is a full time office based position.

In return our client offers a salary of up to £30,000 per annum which may be negotiable depending on experience.
