We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our Finance Team, providing crucial support in managing the Purchase Ledger function and controlling all aspects of cash flow preparation and processing of payments.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts environment and will be a strong team player with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Ensure invoices are raised correctly and on time.
  • Maintain compliance with group rules on financial controls.
  • Maintain a minimum 8-week rolling cash flow forecast.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of cash book and bank accounts.
  • Manage checks and controls over all outgoing payments.
  • Handle all aspects of purchase ledger including validation of purchase invoices, reconciliation of supplier statements, and supplier payment scheduling.
  • Process company-wide credit card expenditure ensuring all receipts are accounted for.
  • Maintain accounts payable records and ensure filing is up to date.
  • Process Ecommerce orders on a rota system within the Accounts team.
  • Assist with the creation of new customer accounts and booking hotels for engineers as required.
  • Provide support and cover for other areas within the finance department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in an accounts environment.
  • Competency in accounting software and MS Packages, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Access Dimensions is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ideally have or working towards AAT level 2.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop robust working relationships.
  • Commercially focused with a clear understanding of business impact.
  • Proactive approach, results-driven, and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the energy, drive, and passion to make a difference.
