Role & Responsibilities:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our procurement team. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a vital role in supporting our Senior Buyer and contributing to the efficient operation of our procurement function. Your focus will be on ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement processes while maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Senior Buyer to analyse procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies• Assist in negotiating with suppliers to achieve favourable terms, cost savings, and quality assurance• Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier performance• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement• Support cross-functional teams in optimizing procurement processes• Participate in supplier meetings and contribute to decision-making• Handle administrative tasks related to procurement, including documentation and reporting
