My client is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer who will join our thriving team. This role will be responsible for all direct and indirect procurement for the business. Your focus will be to ensure OTIF, maintain the highest of quality, and ensure all contracts are cost-effective for the business. The right candidate for this role will be proactive and take the initiative to make improvements throughout the Procurement function.

Upon opening a new site in North Wales due to business expansion, now more than ever is a great time to be joining such an esteemed organisation.

Experienced in the purchasing of raw materials, running a commodity and an in depth understanding of the full procurement procuress. This is a hands-on role requiring the Senior Buyer to be fully involved in both the day-to-day detail and the overall strategy for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage clearly defined processes and procedures to ensure that best procurement practice is achieved
  • Purchasing raw materials
  • Successfully negotiate with suppliers of products, materials, and services to achieve cost savings and/or mitigate price increases
  • Responsibility for all supplier evaluation activity
  • Ensure continual adherence to our T&C’s
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management
