Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine product designs, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Utilise 3D CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing purposes.
  • Conduct product research and development, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and procurement, to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input on new product ideas and concepts.
  • Use engineering principles to solve design problems and ensure product functionality and durability.
  • Work within tight tolerances and meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of product development processes and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Suitable qualification in engineering or product design.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modelling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Proven experience in producing technical drawings at a professional level.
  • Familiarity with research and development processes and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of working with tight tolerances and precision engineering.
  • Experience in high-volume turned, milled, and moulded parts desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
