Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling metal parts to create high-quality products. Key responsibilities include mechanical maintenance and installation, welding, and fabrication on a broad range of equipment, including hydraulic systems.

Duties Include:
  • Mechanical fitting using engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Working on precision parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
  • Performing final tests and commissioning on partially or fully completed systems
  • Raising non-conformance issues
  • Meeting set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments
  • Ensuring products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety
  • Installing, testing, and repairing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves
Role Requirements:
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
  • Proficient in using hand tools, grinders, and drills
  • Experience with a range of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components
Skills Required:
  • Demonstrated experience using various engineering equipment
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics
  • Engineering Apprenticeship qualification within a manufacturing/engineering environment or a relevant recognized qualification (or extensive industry experience)
