9:00am - 6:00pm

My client is looking for a Transport Manager to join their team! If you have previous experience as a Transport Manageror a similar role, and are looking to join a reputable company, then LOOK NO FURTHER!

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Transport Department ensuring that the company are fully complaint inline with transport regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all drivers understand and are fully trained around their responsibilities relating to safety and delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Collaborate with all company stakeholders to ensure we continuously improve our OTIF figures
  • Maintain a high standard of communication across the business to ensure our customer’s needs are met
  • Produce daily / weekly transport KPI`s
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transport legislation
  • Implement and adhere to O-licence and FORS regulations
  • Ensure the effective and efficient planning of routes
  • Ensure effective vehicle utilisation
  • Management and optimising of costs.

Skills Required:

  • CPC qualified
  • Strong customer focus (internal/external)
  • Experienced in busy transport office and running a successful fleet management system
  • Previous experience in developing, landing, and maintaining the O Licence and FORS licence
  • Comfortable working pro-actively with stakeholders across the business
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience in developing and coaching a team to deliver the required results
  • Up to date on legislation for transport
  • Ability to formulate and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
