Freight Customer Service Administrator
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:30
Location: Dartford
Salary: 27,000-35,000
About the Role:

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Freight Customer Service Administrator to join a busy logistics operation in Dartford.

You will play a key role in managing the administration of European and UK road customer service operations, ensuring all shipments are processed efficiently, accurately, and in line with internal standards.

You will act as the main point of contact for internal departments and customers, providing timely updates, resolving queries, and supporting a smooth shipment process.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in logistics to develop their career in a dynamic and growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer Import, Export, and UK shipments using internal IT systems, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date
Maintain excellent customer service, proactively communicating shipment progress, issues, or deviations to customers
Produce and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure outbound customer service performance
Liaise with internal teams across multiple locations to ensure smooth operational workflows
Conduct final checks of customs shipments and support compliance with relevant regulations
Produce and administer quality and production control reports
Accurately record all actions and communications for audit and analysis purposes
Provide supporting documentation to clients upon request

Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within logistics or operations
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to resolve queries efficiently
Basic knowledge of customs processes and import/export documentation is desirable, but training will be provided
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a busy environment
IT literate, with confident use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn new software systems
Positive, proactive, and able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
