Your new company
You will be joining a main contractor working on water schemes predominantly in the East Midlands area. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, and they offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader within the water sector and, due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Contracts Manager to join their team.

Your new role
As Contracts Manager, you will be based in their Derbyshire office and be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Overseeing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring works are completed on time and to expected quality and budget.
  • Overseeing contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Developing and managing budgets for contracts.
  • Managing site teams.
  • Evaluating contractor performance and tracking KPIs.
  • Managing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring project programmes are adhered to as well as quality standards by contractors and suppliers.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have proven successful experience of managing sites within the water industry and have good working knowledge of NEC3 form of contracts. In addition, you will have strong numeracy and IT skills, and be able to work to deadlines. Finally, you will have sound communication skills and good commercial awareness.
