Are you a Workshop Manager, Service Manager or similar from an Agricultural Machinery background looking for a varied and autonomous role, where you will have full control of a growing team of Technicians and be given continuous training and development opportunities for a highly competitive salary?

On offer is the opportunity to play an instrumental part in the management team of a market leading machinery supplier.

In this role you will be directly responsible for managing a busy Service Department, liaising with management, suppliers, and team of experienced Technicians. Specific product training will be provided and some site visits are expected.

Having been established for many decades, this company are a leading supplier within a niche and profitable industry. Coupled with excellent retention, they are always happy to invest in their employees with plenty of training.

This role would suit a Workshop Manager, Service Manager or similar looking for autonomy and control in a varied and challenging role within a market leading company.

THE ROLE:

  • To ensure the efficient and effective use of staff, workshop facilities and equipment.
  • To determine customers' needs and respond as necessary in accordance with company procedures, including booking in machines for servicing, repair and warranty work.
  • To determine priorities and allocate work to the team of Technicians.
  • To monitor work progress, and pursue as necessary.
  • To advise on best methods of repair and determine repair times, ensuring all work is carried out within a realistic time.
  • To liaise with the Parts Manager on issues affecting availability of parts.
  • To ensure adequate cover is provided in the absence of Workshop staff.
  • Ensure H&S policies are adhered to at all times
  • Report all incidents/accidents.
  • Performing any other ad hock tasks, as required, which will help to contribute to the overall performance of the depot.

THE PERSON:

  • Experience in a similar position
  • Experience in servicing and repairing agricultural machinery.
