ASD Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a village primary school in the local area seeking an SEND Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism and Behaviour. The school is a small school with an excellent reputation. This is a full time, long-term role with a daily rate of £85-£95 per day. The role is a temporary post and has the opportunity to get perm with the school for the right candidate. The school have previously taken staff from Tradewind on Permanent contracts.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for supporting a child with ASD in KS2. A knowledge of SEND is necessary and ASD would be ideal. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of a Primary Curriculum and will be able to use a range of strategies to children with diverse learning needs. The school have asked for someone who can start as soon as possible.

  • Hold a Levelled teaching assistant or similar qualification
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
