Introduction


Our client, a leading company in the water industry, is currently seeking a Site Agent to join their team. As a Site Agent, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the clients water / tunnelling project, specifically in the areas of pipe jacking and shaft sinking. This is a contract position with an anticipated start date in mid-May, and a minimum duration of 7 months. This role is on a freelance basis and paying rates upwards of 350 p/day CIS.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, maintaining effective communication to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor progress against project plans, identifying any potential issues or delays, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation, ensuring compliance with design requirements.
  • Manage the quality control process, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure workmanship and materials meet the required standards.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports, documenting site activities, progress, and any incidents or significant events.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to manage resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, including the client, project managers, and other relevant parties.


Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in a similar role within the water industry, with a focus on pipe jack and shaft sinking projects.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, with the ability to manage and enforce site safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey information to various stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to effectively manage a team and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Experience in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise on-site.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Valid CSCS card and relevant qualifications in a related field would be advantageous.
