This role will focus on engineering project work, to develop and improve products and manufacturing processes, from ideas and concepts, through development and on to implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Use CAD (SolidWorks) to design components, tools, machine parts
  • Organise and undertake product and process development work in the technical facility, setting up equipment and manufacturing samples for testing, demonstration and customer trials.
  • Evaluation and proving of new product specifications.
  • Generation of product manufacturing standards and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications - Degree, Apprenticeship etc
  • Mechanical design ability with CAD experience.
  • Ability to perform hands on tooling and machine set-up
  • Problem solving ability
