Events Manager Needed for a Bar Company , West End Up To £35,000 + Benefits,

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Manager to join a late night bar group in the heart of the West End. The client is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere and are looking for experienced Events Manager who can meet the high standards of the client. Due to the demand to servicing their discerning clients, they are looking for like minded individuals who have worked in a similar Events management role to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Description

As an Events Manager you will be responsible for:

  • MUST be in a simiar proactive role in a restaurants or hotel restaurant environment
  • All aspects of guest relations
  • Carry out operational planning
  • Heavily focused on sales & selling the current space including restaurant seats as well as events
  • Assisting in general enquiries including bookings, giving quotes, invoicing and general duties
  • Conducting end of day reports
  • To ensure that all aspects of function sheets are fully understood and carried out as specified
  • Attending private hire events & hosting
  • Be able to build a sales & events department from scratch
  • Have a little black book of clients to bring on board
  • Follow company and department procedures
  • Having good admin skills
  • Attending trade shows to expand the datebase
  • Be involved in private hires and upselling
  • Keeping on tract with all aspects of events
  • Regular show rounds and events quotes
  • Help assist and support Co - workers
  • Identifying problems and reacting to resolve the issues

The Ideal candidate will be:

  • Experienced in a similar events role within hospitality
  • Be able to work in small teams
  • Work towards sales targets set by the board
  • MUST be flexible in working some weekends wirh the needs of the business
  • Be able to work in a high demanding environment
  • Being able to act upon different situations in a precise and professional manner
  • Able to give & follow clear instructions
  • Used to a target based environment
  • MUST have some proactive sales experience
  • Must have high effective operational event planning and selling events
  • Flexible to working some weekends
  • Experience of managing own workload with minimal supervision; able to multi-task, effectively plan work, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Used to dealing with reports
  • Being proactive and being able to think on their feet
  • Used to dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority

The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record as a Sales & Events Manager.
