Job Description: Project Manager / Estimator

Location: Eastwood, Nottinghamshire

My client is a leading supplier of shelving and shopfitting systems with clients predominately in the UK but also in mainland Europe. They supply both the trade sector and also the end user retail groups, with clients that are household names in retailing.

They pride themselves on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions to their clients.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our estimating and projects team as a Project Manager / Estimator.  Based at their offices in Eastwood.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the shopfitting or point of sale industry and have a strong understanding of equipment systems.  You will be responsible for accurately generating bills-of-material from client drawings/requests and providing quotes back to clients or the sales team to allow them to quote the clients. As such will have excellent numeracy skills and be more than proficient with programmes such as MS Excel.  Experience with AutoCAD would be a benefit but not essential. Likewise a driving licence and the willingness to occasionally travel to client sites for meetings or surveys would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

- Preparing detailed cost and component breakdowns from drawings or text descriptions.

- Conversing with clients to understand their needs and expectations in order to obtain the brief and create quotations.

- Work closely with the construction teams to ensure that projects are executed according to plan.

-Prepare health and safety documents (RAMS) for projects where we are carrying out site services

- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience within the shopfitting or POS industry.

- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.

-Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software. (experience with Autodesk AutoCAD LT Preferrable though not essential).

- Knowledge and good understanding of health and safety regulations.

-Driving licence and own transport preferable.

This is a full time position

37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5pm

(flexibility on the exact hours is possible by agreement with the management)

20 days holiday a year increasing to 25 days based on service plus all bank holidays

Additional time off over the Christmas period.

Salary Package

From  £26,000 Dependant on Experience
